Veja Mate Offshore Project, a unit of Highland Group, and Siemens signed an agreement on the delivery, installation and commission of 67 of Siemens' SWT-6.0-154 direct-drive machines.
The agreement includes the supply and installation of foundations, turbines, a substation and cabling, as well as a 15-year service and maintenance deal.
Highland Group sees offshore wind farms as a new asset class with the potential “to be profitable and build demand in the future", Lord Laidlaw of Rothiemay, the owner of the investment firm, said at the signing of the deal with Siemens at EWEA Offshore in Copenhagen.
