Shenhua Group set to triple its installed wind power capacity

This will see a rise from 2 gigawatts (GW) at the end of this year to 6 GW by the end of 2015.

Shenhua plans to further increase its wind power capacity to more than 10GW by 2020, Gui Kai, general manager of Guohua Energy, Shenhua Group's alternative energy unit, told Reuters.

Gui said the company was focusing on developing wind power in the coastal provinces of Hebei, Jiangsu and Shandong.
