The machine, which according to Senvion has the largest rotor diameter in its product range, has been operating for regional power-provider EWE in fully-automatic mode since January.
The turbine is sited near the coast and close to Senvion’s production facilities in Bremerhaven.
“We are making the most powerful turbine in series-production to date [the Senvion 6.2M126] even more efficient,” says Senvion CTO Russel Stoddart.
