The new version with a 140-metre rotor diameter at wind speeds of 7.5 m/s has a 20% higher energy yield than the 3.2M122 that also caters for moderate wind sites, the Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer has calculated.
“The intelligent load management of this technology allows flexible operation in all locations,” Senvion chief executive Jürgen Geissinger says.
