Sharma has been at Senvion for more than four years and has headed its finance department since October 2013. He previously worked as assistant general manager for strategy at Indian wind turbine maker Suzlon, Senvion's former owner.
Senvion's former CFO, Marcus Wassenberg, left his post in September last year to take up a position outside the wind industry.
"Manav Sharma has a proven track record and has already made great contributions to the performance and development of Senvion in his role as executive vice president for finance, and I know that he will be a great asset to Senvion as chief financial officer," Senvion chief executive Andreas Nauen said.
