The new turbine is equipped with the company's "Next Electrical System"(NES) comprising a fully-rated converter and an asynchronous generator, a further development of the previous system on the basis of the DFIG (Doubly Fed Induction Generator).
Senvion says the system generates high yields with a sustainable design, while lowering the levelised cost of electricity.
