Second UK CfD support round seen opening in October

The Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) – which runs the CfD scheme on behalf of the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) – has published an ‘indicative’ timetable that would see the application window to qualify for the second round open on 21 October and close on 4 November.

That would be followed by submission of sealed bids and the auction itself either in December, or in February and March 2016, depending on whether appeals need to be heard over qualification for the process.
