Mitsubishi's announcement comes as the company is embroiled in a lawsuit filed by US industrial ? giant GE over alleged patent infringements involving the Japanese company's 2.4- megawatt turbine.
Second turbine plant 'a great day for Arkansas'
Mitsubishi Power Systems says it will build a $100m turbine manufacturing plant in Fort Smith, northwestern Arkansas - a coup for a state that is emerging as a centre of the US wind industry. Construction will begin in early 2011.
