The alliance, which has founding members from the UK, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands, aims to bring together initiatives from the four countries at a European level, taking cost-reduction, knowledge-management and grid-integration objectives “beyond the national boundaries that the initiatives are often limited to”.
To kick-start its activities, Seastar Alliance will begin a programme of work that introduces best practice initiatives from the UK Offshore Wind Programme Board’s Cost Reduction Monitoring Framework; German and Dutch cost-reduction programmes; and grid-integration work from Denmark.
