Vestas said Servet Sert, senior vice president of industrialisation in Vestas Technology & Service Solutions will serve as head of Wind Capture Systems and managing director of Vestas R&D UK until a replacement is found.
Sauven led the Isle of Wight-based team that plays a crucial role in Vestas’ blade technology operation.
The IOW facility is currently developing the 80-metre prototype blade for the company’s V164 8MW offshore turbine.
Vestas said: “Rob Sauven has successfully led and grown Vestas' blades development organisation throughout the past 25 years and we thank him for his dedication and leadership in this area.”
