This was mainly due to the company including wind power output from Dutch acquisition Essent under the division. It also includes the initial consolidation of Spanish wind power developer Danta de Energías. RWE increased its stake in the company to 98.65% from 49.33% in May.
Renewables output also grew from RWE’s own projects, including the Rhyl Flats offshore wind farm, which was fully commissioned in December 2009.
