The company will deploy remotely-operated vehicles (ROVs) at projects including Thornton Bank in Belgium, Denmark’s Anholt and the London Array in the UK.

The ROVs are used to support operations including turbine installation and cable-laying.

ROVOP, based in Aberdeenshire, was set up a year ago and has taken on 24 new staff to support the contract wins.

It has also appointed subsea robotics veteran Barry Stewart, formerly of STS, as director and general manager.
