REpower will supply ten MM92 2.05MW turbines to the Wandylaw project in Northumbria, England, under development by Ridge Wind, and eight of the same model to AES’s Yelvertoft project in the south of the country.

The German group – a subsidiary of India’s Suzlon – has also signed three deals to supply Scottish wind projects.

They are for FIM Services and Whirlwind Renewables’ Wathegar wind farm in Caithness, along with the Blantyre Muir wind farm in South Lanarkshire and the Barlockhart Moor project near Glenluce in Dumfries & Galloway – both International Power developments.

REpower says the latest deals take it past the 1GW capacity mark in the UK, where it has a 12% market share.
