Renewable energy is anticipated to gain market share as oil and gas companies are increasingly working on plans to "diversify" their business , according to research from the technical advisor group, DNV GL, which said it expects investments in the sector to increase this year.
Research, based on responses from energy, and oil and gas players, revealed that the fossil fuels industry "is in a period of significant change".
