The exclusive, off-the record networking event began yesterday with a reception dinner at the prestigious Holmenkollen Park Hotel, in the hills above Oslo.

Today the invitation-only summit includes a full conference programme tackling the biggest issues facing the global wind and solar industries as they gear up for the challenges and opportunities presented by the historic Paris Agreement signed at COP21.

Speakers from the renewables sector include: Cliff Harris, GE’s general manager for renewable energy in EMEA; Sven Utermöhlen, director at E.ON Climate & Renewables; and Giles Dickson, CEO of the European Wind Energy Association.

The corporate giants that are increasingly driving investment in renewables and consumption of clean-energy are well represented, with senior executives from Google, Lego and Unilever addressing the summit

Delegates will also be able to hold private talks with industry peers and policymakers.

"This is the first occasion after the historic agreement at COP21 that our Thought Leaders and other business leaders will be able to convene to discuss the rapidly changing energy industry landscape," said Recharge editor-in-chief Darius Snieckus.

The Thought Leaders Summit is sponsored by DNV GL.
