Germany’s largest utility – which is dividing into a renewables- and networks-focused business under the E.ON name and a new company called Uniper with the former group’s conventional assets – said the “economic and industry environment had deteriorated substantially” since that decision was announced in late 2014.
That will force the management teams at E.ON and Uniper to look again at their plans, warned E.ON
