Prysmian will handle design, manufacture and supply of 33kV submarine cables for the project from its factory in Drammen, Norway, with deliveries slated to start next summer and termination works to be complete in spring 2018.

The Rentel wind array, being developed at a site 40km off the coastal city of Oostende by a consortium of Belgian renewable energy companies, will be based around 42 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 wind turbines.
