India rose one place to fifth in March’s EY Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index (RECAI), behind the leading quartet of China, the US, Germany and Japan, all of which retained their rankings from three months ago.
EY said India’s improvement came as a result of “significant investment and project momentum resulting from the government’s ambitious renewables targets and policy reforms to improve the investment climate”.
