Cuxhaven-based PNE expects to obtain all consents for its final three offshore zones — Nemo, Jules Verne and Nautilus 1 — within the next 18 months. Among the most remote of all projects in the German North Sea, each is licensed for 80 turbines.

Chief executive Martin Billhardt expects those zones to progress along an arc similar to Gode Wind, whereby PNE pins down all the federal permits and carries out a broad range of environmental analyses before selling the rights to a major investor, as Dong Energy did in the case of the Gode Wind trio.
