The US state of Virginia’s governor Ralph Northam has signed landmark clean energy legislation that doubles its offshore wind goal to 5.2GW and clears the way for the mid-Atlantic state to become an east coast leader in renewables and energy storage deployment this decade.
Virginia’s offshore wind target is now the nation’s third most ambitious behind New York (9GW) and New Jersey (7.5GW)
