The order, from long-term customer Ostwind, will see the Danish group deliver 12 of its V90-3MW machines to the project, which is spread over three sites in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region.
The agreement includes a 10-year service and maintenance deal.
Construction at the project is due to start by the end of the year, with operations due to begin in the third quarter of 2013, says Vestas.
Ostwind has 640MW of wind capacity in place in European countries including France, Germany and the Czech Republic.
