The Stockyard Hill projecthas approval for 157 wind turbines, meaning it could be a 400MW-500MW projectwhen completed.
Origin began to review options for developingthe wind farm last year, including seekingproposals from parties interested in supplying turbines, constructing the windfarm on Origin’s behalf or providing equity for Stockyard Hill while Originsupported it through a power purchase agreement.
During its review process it is reported tohave received three bids, including one from China Three Gorges New Energy andChinese turbine supplier Goldwind.
