Offshore wind a rare bright spot as Uniper drags E.ON to €3bn loss

Renewables were one of the few bright spots in otherwise dire first half earnings at E.ON thanks to the full commissioning of two North Sea offshore wind farms, as impairment charges and provisions for losses at fossil unit Uniper led to a net loss of almost €3bn ($3.34bn) for the German utility as a whole.
