Deepwater Wind, DONG Energy and OffshoreMW agreed to pay $5.7m annually over an initial two years to lease the facility.

Each developer holds a federal lease for an area off the state’s coast with potential for at least 1GW of nameplate generation capacity.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, a state agency, manages the terminal. It offers 1,200 linear feet of bulkhead, including 800 feet of deep-draft berthing and 400 feet of barge berthing space.
