NTR moves on US wind sale

Ireland’s NTR plc has confirmed its intention to sell its nearly 350MW of operational US wind capacity, as its three major shareholders agreed a deal that will see two of them divest their stakes in the company.

Last month it emerged that two of Dublin-based NTR’s biggest shareholders, One51 and Pageant Holdings, wanted the company to sell its US wind portfolio and return the proceeds to shareholders, after which they intended to divest their stakes in NTR.

NTR owns nearly all of two US wind farms – the 201MW Post Rock project in Kansas and the 150MW Lost Creek project in Missouri – through its ownership of Missouri-based Wind Capital Group.
