Norwegian wind industry makes pitch for offshore demonstrators

The participants agreed to prepare a presentation to the Norwegian parliament that will provide a basis for the discussion of offshore wind in the current parliamentary debate over the white paper on energy policy.

After that NORWEA together with industry players, research bodies and organisations wants to discuss the realisation of a demo site.

"The idea is that we facilitate the testing of next-generation technology in relation to the full-scale demonstration of marketable technology," says Daniel Willoch, who is heading the project work for a demo site at NORWEA.
