Northland Power takes over Canada's flagship offshore wind development

Toronto-based developer Northland Power is taking over development of the slow-rolling NaiKun offshore wind project off the province of British Columbia from its eponymous developer NaiKun Wind Energy Group (NWEG).

Discussions to sell the development – in line to be Canada’s first offshore wind farm – have been ongoing since last year, as Recharge reported at the time, but Northland had not been named until now.
