The agreement will also see Acciona Windpower’s owner, Spanish energy and infrastructure group Acciona, become Nordex’s largest shareholder with a 29.9% stake in the German turbine-maker, said a statement late Sunday.
Nordex and Acciona Windpower said their combined order backlog will be about 2.8GW, and pointed to their complementary strengths in markets such as Europe in the case of the former and the Americas in Acciona’s case.
