The 50MW Frodsham project near Chester in northwest England will deploy 19 N90/2650 turbines specially produced by the German OEM.
Originally planned at 21 turbines, the number of machines was nudged down following local consultations by developers Peel Energy and Belltown Power.
Nordex said there are no plans to put the N90/2650 into bulk production.
CEO Lars Bondo Krogsgaard said: “The wind in this region exhibits only minor turbulence and the climate is mild.
