Nordex bags first N131/3000 deal

Manufacturer Nordex has received an order for eight of its N131/3000 models for the 24MW Hollich Sellen citizens' wind park in Germany's North-Rhine-Westphalia state, the first deal for this type of moderate-wind machine.

The turbine is a focus of the company's presentation at the WindEnergy Hamburg trade fair that starts here today and ends on Friday.

The German wind turbine maker has erected one of the 65.5-metre-blades of the N131/3000 at the entrance of the fairgrounds in Hamburg.

"We will erect the first N131/3000 only towards year-end, but the technical platform of the Generation Delta has proven itself," says Nordex sales manager Lars Bondo Krogsgaard.
