Speaking to financial analysts after the announcement of a deal for the €785m ($881m) purchase of Acciona Windpower by the German OEM, Blanco said combining the businesses “creates value and reduces future market risk”.
The two companies represent a “perfect fit [in terms of] scale, geography and product platforms”, he said. “There is no cannibalization.”
