NEP bought the 199MW Cedar Bluff wind farm in Kansas and the 86MW Golden Hills project in California, both of which were commissioned in 2015 using GE turbines and have long-term offtake contracts in place.
Cedar Bluff sells its power to the utility Westar Energy, which is in the process of being acquired by Great Plains Energy, while Golden Hills is contracted to sell a portion of its output to Google for its new headquarters near San Francisco.
