On Tuesday, Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) revealed a list of 119 development-stage renewables projects that are eligible to bid into Ontario’s first Large Renewable Procurement (LRP) round.
The developers behind the projects – which themselves were qualified separately in an earlier process – have until 1 September to submit applications for their projects.
The LRP is Ontario’s first since the province did away with its large-scale feed-in tariff amid concerns about electricity prices.
