Equinix, which owns a fleet of more than 100 data centres globally, will buy 125MW of output from NextEra’s Rush Springs wind farm in Oklahoma and 100MW from Invenergy’s Wake wind farm in Texas. Both projects are due on line by the end of 2016.
Only last week Invenergy announced it will sell 125MW of output from its planned 300MW Wake project to Owens Corning.
