NexGen, a leading owner and operator of distributed energy systems, will provide packer Hawaii Big Island Beef with reliably priced power from a 100 kilowatt turbine for the next 10 years.
“We’ve found a niche in supplying sites with up to 1.2 megawatts under long-term power purchase agreements,” says Rose. He did not provide financial details of the contract.
Northern Power Systems, based in Vermont, will supply a Northwind 100 turbine for the project, which NexGen will own.
