The New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA), a state entity, released its “blueprint” for offshore wind development in the Atlantic Ocean, with the intention of publishing a full “masterplan” by the end of 2017.
The blueprint follows New York’s formal establishment of a 50% renewables target for 2030 last month, with offshore wind increasingly expected to play a significant role in meeting the target.
