Vestas, the number two wind-turbine maker in the US behind General Electric, says the new facility will support its manufacturing operations in Colorado.
They include wind-turbine towers in Pueblo, gearboxes in Brighton and turbine blades in Windsor.
The company has recently won orders, although US wind turbine installations this year are expected to decline 25% or more from a record 100GW in 2009.
