The Clean Energy Council (CEC) issued the strongly-worded warning after local media leaked the conclusions of an eight-month investigation into the wind sector.
According to The Australian, top-line recommendations include slashing from 20 years to five the period of support for wind projects under the country’s renewable certificate scheme. The senators will also urge the federal government to restrict support to projects in states that adhere to rules on low-frequency noise, it said.
