Clocking in at 1.5GW, Moray Firth is the first Round 3 project to hand in its planning application, beating out E.ON’s Rampion project, which will be about half the size.

As recently as April, E.ON toldRecharge it intended to hand its application to the UK’s Infrastructure Planning Commission in August.

The Moray Firth zone was awarded to EDPR and SeaEnergy Renewables in 2010.
