The center, the Chinese company’s first in North America, opened Tuesday and is located on NCSU’s Centennial Campus , a research park affiliated with the university. It is led by Shu Ching Quek, president of Ming Yang’s US unit, and will employ an initial five researchers. Plans call for adding more in the future.
Ming Yang was the fourth largest wind turbine manufacturer in China and 10th globally in 2011, according to HIS Emerging Energy Research..
