New Zealand-based Meridian built Mount Mercer in the state of Victoria using MM92 turbines from Suzlon subsidiary Senvion.

The developer said it invested more than A$250m ($203m) in the project under the auspices of Australia’s existing RET of 41,000GWh from large-scale renewables by 2020.

That target is under review by the Australian government, which has indicated it favours a reduction in the output level.
