Managing director Fritsch-Nehring to leave Enercon

Managing director Nicole-Fritsch Nehring will step down from her post as managing director at Enercon at the end of October and leave the German turbine manufacturer at the end of the year “to take up a new professional challenge”, Enercon said in a note to Recharge.

Hans-Dieter Kettwig will be the sole managing director of Enercon for the time being, the company said, without revealing further details.

“From a management point of view, the personnel change doesn’t impact Enercon’s positioning as technology and quality leader, which the company wants to strengthen also in the future,” Enercon said.

The OEM towards year-end plans to install a third prototype of its EP4 4MW platform, and next year expects to produce about 60 to 70 units of the new turbine, a company spokesman told Recharge.
