Mainstream will pay local developer FPC Services $1.7bn over a four-year period for three separate projects at various stages of development. The most advanced is the 120MW Shady Oaks projects in Lee County, in northern Illinois, which will begin construction next year.
The 467MW Green River project is in the “mid-stage” of development, and is expected to begin construction by the end of 2010.
