Mainstream-backed Lekela nabs $250m in OPIC finance for African wind

Lekela Power, the African renewables platform backed by Ireland’s Mainstream Renewable Power and private-equity investor Actis, scored $250m in financing and $70m in reinsurance from the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) for a 158MW wind farm in Senegal.
