The measure affects the company’s blade production plant in Grand Forks, North Dakota, which began operation in 1999. After the announced reduction takes full effect by 30 November, the plant will then have 270 employees and the company 740 overall in North America.
“We are working closely with our customers and we are positive about the future, but will continue to have to reassess as long as the production tax credit remains in question,” the company says in a statement.
