DOE expects to complete details of the package later this year. The project will be located about 7 miles out in Lake Erie and visible from Cleveland.
LEEDCo and partner Fred Olsen Renewables USA (FORUSA), a subsidiary of the Fred Olsen Group based in Oslo, Norway, will provide a $1.9m matching contribution. Fred Olsen is in negotiations with LEEDCo to acquire the project.
