The latest Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index (RECAI) from the professional services group saw Chile leap to fourth place from ninth when the last rankings were published in September 2015, while Mexico rose to seventh from nineteenth.
Both Latin American nations have become key target markets from renewables growth, thanks to their excellent natural resources and policy measures to support wind and solar.
