Germany's federal supreme court of justice on Tuesday confirmed a previous ruling by the district court of Meiningen against Christian Köckert, a former interior secretary of the state of Thuringia and honorary councillor of the city of Eisenach, for illegally accepting benefits as a public official.
Juwi, according to the federal supreme court, from late July 2010 to the end of 2011 had a consultancy contract with Köckert to represent Juwi's economic interests against a payment of €700 ($743) per working day.
