Euros has bought the Kankaanpäänmäki and Mustaisneva wind farms in the Finnish region of Etelä-Pohjanmaa, about 300km north of Helsinki that feature 11 L100-2.5MW direct drive wind turbines from Dutch manufacturer Lagerwey with modular steel towers.

Eurus is a joint venture between utility Tokyo Electric Power (Tepco) and Toyota Tsusho, the trading unit of the Toyota group.

“We believe the new support scheme will pave the way for steady growth of wind power in Finland,” says Hideyuki Inazumi, chief executive of Eurus Energy.
