The nation could hold the first phase of tenders before the end of this year, said Bloomberg, quoting the Iranian energy minister as saying it wants to install 5GW of renewables in the next five years as part of a programme it hopes will attract $12bn of investment.
A large-scale Iranian power tender would confirm the emergence of the major new regional market anticipated since the lifting of sanctions against the country last year.
